Mothers Circle

Motherhood is the biggest transition a woman can go through, and it is during this time that we need community support the most. We were never meant to do this alone.

"Becoming a parent changes us deeply. It changes our brain, our thoughts, our behavior,  our hormones, our biology, and our bodies. With awareness and knowledge, this can be a beautiful gift, a specialized brain to take care of and bond with our babies, and a new period of neuroplasticity where we might find healing for ourselves. 

While parenting is accompanied by many physical changes to care for our babies, this can also be a fragile time for our mental health. Ideally, these changes would be accompanied by constant physical and emotional support from elders, family members, and friends. It would involve acknowledgment, ceremony, processing, observing, and understanding.
